Mountain Fly was one of the coolest projects I’ve ever worked on. One of the most difficult as well! I think the art and the story work really well together and that doesn’t always happen. It took years, no joke, to finish this book but it was done with a lot of love and some serious dedication to the project. I think the love shines through more than anything. One of the greatest compliments I’ve gotten so far is, “We bought this for our kids and it’s our favorite and there is nothing like it on their shelves and we have a lot of kids books! Even when we go into the bookstore we can’t find anything like it.” I don’t remember the name of the person who said that to me but thanks. It’s really compliments like that one that relly make me feel validated, accomplished, etcetera about the amount of time and effort spent on this book. It’s a good feeling. —Jim Keating 2024
