INK

Drawing in pen and ink is one of the coolest ways to create art I have ever experienced. When I first tried it I was completely intimidated by its permanence and the inevitable mistakes you can make, especially when first starting out. For example, when almost finished with an entire beautiful page of precise lines and crosshatched shading you stand back to admire your work while you put your brush back in the ink and then the ink tips over and spills onto your finished piece. There’s no way to fix it. It’s time to start over. That’s why I love it. I hope you enjoy what I’ve posted so far! Thanks for cocking your heat to the side, furrowing your forehead and saying to yourself, “What the hell is that?”

Enjoy! —Jim.
