I will always have a special place in my heart for pencil on velum paper. I think I made this drawing after seeing the Pirates of the Caribbean which probobly explains the subject matter or it could have been after going to the Aquarium in Corpus Christi. Anyway Ive always loved pencil and pushing the art as far as I can with a bit of graphite and a little blending stump. I took this pencil drawing into photoshop and worked it up with some color and I was happy with it but, if I had to pick, I would always pick the pencil drawing. I did a few pencil drawings in the same vein as this piece but this is by far one of everyones favorites.
